Brookes, Ann was born c.1824 in Oddington, Gloucestershire. She married William Akerman in 1854 in Bourton on the Hill, Gloucestershire. As Ann Akerman, she appears on the 1861, 1871, 1881 & 1891 censuses for Adlestrop. She was a laundress for Adlestrop House. She died 3 Dec 1895, aged 71 years. She is buried in the graveyard at Adlestrop. See Photographs.

Brookes, Annie Mahalia was born 21 December 1892 in York, Yorkshire. Daughter of Charles W. Brookes and Fanny Brant. She married Godfrey Robinson in 1931 in Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire. As Anne Mahalia Robinson, she appears on the electoral rolls for 1934-1939 and on the 1939 England and Wales Register. She lived at Fern Farm. She died in 1992 in Daventry, Northamptonshire. She set up the Anne Brooks Fairgreen Charitable Trust, who donate to whatever charitable purposes their trustees see fit within the United Kingdom.

She died in 1951 in North Cotswold, Gloucestershire.
